...especially considering the fact that the new year is upon us.

So, I've been on my ship for about 5 months. A lot has happened. I went overseas to Scotland with my ship for Joint Warrior, which is where international maritime forces come together for training in various warfare areas. I learned a lot not only about my equipment and my ship, but also about Scotland. I went to the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle while I was out there, had a great time with some of the people I work with, and learned a thing or two about myself in the process.

I'm also in a semi-relationship. I still don't know what to call it. I think, to him, it's still pretty casual, so I'm trying not to be serious about it. However, it's getting difficult because, for me, a relationship of any kind is a serious matter. I don't do flings. We're either dating and serious about it or we're not together at all. It's just hard to convey that sort of feeling when you know it could end a good thing... Even if that good thing isn't what you wanted.

Unfortunately, this has been a time of action and not writing. I've been so caught up in the comings and goings of my life that I just haven't had time to write much of anything. I think the closest I've come to an actual story is a little blurb based on the Kagamine Rin song, "Kokoro." I really want to finish it, it's just that, well, I never seem to have the time anymore...
